Sous Vide Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white asparagus
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into ½ inch slices
  • Flake salt to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Set sous vide machine to 85C/185F.

  2. Add asparagus, sugar, salt and milk in sous vide bag and remove air through a vacuum sealer or the displacement method. Drop the bag in the bath for 30 minutes.

Finishing

  1. Remove bag from bath, discard the milk from the bag and place asparagus on a plate. Place butter on top of asparagus and finish with flake salt to taste. Enjoy!
