    About Jason

    Welcome to the test kitchen, my friend! I’m Jason Veselak, the Founder and original food blogger behind Sous Vide Ways. I’m a recent Austin, TX transplant, and an accountant by trade. While my work is very analytical and detail oriented, cooking is my much needed creative outlet. There is nothing I love more than experimenting with new techniques and flavors, and cooking up big feasts for my friends and family.

    In 2015 I discovered sous vide cooking, and the nerd in me went crazy. I just couldn't believe you could achieve perfectly-cooked, gourmet meals at home, so easily. So I became obsessed with cooking sous vide. I had a blast constantly tinkering with the time and temperature in search of the perfect combo, and I loved adapting new recipes for the sous vide.

    Eventually this obsession turned into somewhat of an expertise. I realized other people may share this love of sous vide with me, and also may want some guidance on how to perfect their cooking. That is where Sous Vide Ways was born - with the hopes to fill the informational gaps on sous vide cooking, and share some of my love of cooking with you.

    This blog started to share my favorite recipes and tips to help make cooking sous vide an unforgettable experience. When starting the website, I wanted to teach people how to harness and maximize the power of sous vide. Now that Sous Vide Ways has grown, my goal is to compile everything I’ve learned from my years of experience; to give real explanations to help people understand just what the heck this machine does.
